Midlands Engine Cyber hosts US cyber workshops

The UK Midlands Engine Cyber initiative are hosting two workshops designed to aid cyber businesses based in the Midlands with outward trade to the US.

The workshops hosted by Andy Williams; the former Cyber Envoy for the Department for International Trade now working for the Department of Commerce Maryland, will offer extensive knowledge and advice on how to best prepare your business to enter the US market.

Over the past 18 months, the Midlands Cyber team has been strengthening its relationship with the State of Maryland through various visits and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding in 2017. This relationship with the state enables Midlands Cyber to further support business related goals, with a growing network and supply chain support on hand to Midlands based businesses.

There will be two workshops, one hosted in the West Midlands (Worcester) by Titania and the other in the East Midlands (Leicester) by Intercede. These two companies have already made a success of their businesses in the US market and they will be on hand to offer tips on the best strategy to immerse companies into the US.

Midlands Cyber is encouraging any Cyber related companies, who are thinking of expanding their business overseas, in particular the US to attend. There will be a wealth of expertise on hand to those who would like to learn more about the US Cyber sector.
