The Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce has announced that data collection for the Chamber’s Economic Indicator for Quarter 1 is now live and wants to know how the crisis has impacted local business’ investment plans, sales, orders and recruitment over the last 3 months.
This data will then be used in lobbying government and key policy makers to drive change to help support your business during this challenging time.
As the government announced a third national lockdown at the start of 2021, it has never been a more important time for businesses to ensure that the challenges they have faced over the last 3 months are taken to government to help raise awareness and lobby for greater support.
This feedback will help government put measures in place to help support businesses and help the economy bounce back quicker when it is able to do so. It is important the decisions government make and the support they introduce have a positive impact on your business.
Sharon Smith, CEO of the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, said: “Businesses have been faced with a difficult first 3 months to start the year. The new relationship with the EU, changing how we operate in many ways alongside a 3rd national lockdown has revealed a handful of challenges for businesses to navigate for quarter 1 of 2021.
“We are looking for your views on how business has been for you in the first 3 months and what your biggest barriers to growth have been. This data will then go towards our 1st Quarterly Economic Survey of the new year which will then be used to present your view to key decision makers on what further business support is needed.”
In last quarters report, (Quarter 4 2020), for the third quarter in a row, more businesses experienced a reduction in their cash flow than those experiencing an improvement. This economic indicator is a true reflection of how the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted businesses across the two counties.
By taking part, businesses will be entered into a prize draw to win a pair of Apple AirPods and it only takes 90 seconds to complete.
