Access to Finance – Free Advice Sessions for SMEs

Access to Finance imageThe LEP is joining forces with finditinworcestershire and Worcestershire.Business.Central to offer a free ‘Access to Finance’ event on Tuesday 16 July.

The event is taking place at Worcester Warriors’ Sixways Stadium from 6.45am to 12 noon and will combine a breakfast and networking meeting with a full programme of workshops and one-to-one meetings with experts.

Delegates will hear the latest insight into the regional economy from Glynn Jones of the Bank of England, before Roy Irish, Chair of WLEP’s Access to Finance Strategy Group,   provides a brief overview of the main forms of finance available to business before introducing the workshop programme.

Workshops will cover topics ranging from loans and grants – such as the new £20 million Green Bridge Fund and the Resource Efficient Worcestershire scheme – to tax benefits, high street banking, equity funding and peer-to-peer lending.  To view the event flyer click: Access to finance Poster.

Worcestershire companies are invited to book their free place through www.finditinworcestershire.com.   Business people who attend can also request one-to-one meetings with leading local experts to discuss the options for their own businesses in more detail.

Access to Finance is one of  the LEP’s four key Strategic Objectives.  The LEP Business Plan identifies access to finance and its lack of availability as one of the top barriers to business growth  The LEP is committed to developing a pro-active approach to ensure that businesses can access the support that they need.
