Businesses are being invited to apply for the Natural Networks grant programme.
The programme is design to offer advice and funding to projects which aim to create and restore habitats for wildlife. Businesses can apply for a free Biodiversity Enhancement Assessment which will evaluate project sites and recommend ways to improve it.
The programme will provide up to 45% of project costs and grants between £2,000 and £200,000.
The programme is aiming to create a natural network of wildlife-rich habitats across Worcestershire that will enhance the quality of our blue and green infrastructure.
To be eligible for the funding, businesses must meet the following requirements:
- Project sites need to have free and ongoing public access.
- The programme is aimed at small and medium businesses, parish councils, charities and public bodies.
- Grants are aimed at land/projects that are ineligible for Countryside Stewardship award.
- Project sites will be considered on land or water.
The Natural Networks programme is a partnership between Worcestershire County Council and the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust.
