Be inspired with Worcestershire Innovation Wednesday

Worcestershire’s businesses are invited to dedicated sessions to further promote innovation in the workplace.

‘Worcestershire Innovation Wednesdays’, which are held each month to showcase innovation across Worcestershire, present new developments and opportunities as well as provide an opportunity for like-minded business people to network.

The sessions provide a space for businesses and experts to come together to share ideas and thoughts about innovation and creativity with guest speakers providing specialist insight.

The concept which was initiated by QinetiQ, the experts in defence, aerospace and security, the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce and Worcestershire County Council has already seen success in recent months following the launch event in February (18 February 2015).

Places are limited and businesses are being encouraged to register at the earliest opportunity for the next three sessions, each of which have a different focus:

  • Advanced Manufacturing: 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm on June 17, 2015 at Yamazaki Mazak UK Ltd, Worcester
  • Sport: 5:00 pm – 8:30 pm on July 15, 2015 at Worcestershire County Cricket Club, Worcester
  • International Trade Opportunities: 5:00 pm – 8:30 pm on August 19, 2015 at QinetiQ, Malvern.

Gary Woodman, Executive Director of Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, said: “These events are an excellent opportunity for Worcestershire’s businesses to network with like-minded individuals, share information on new processes and learn about opportunities for innovative business practices.

“Worcestershire Innovation Wednesdays are open to anyone who wants to come and share their creative thoughts and ideas to improve business practices and we hope to welcome more businesses over the coming months.”

Keith Mowbray, Strategic Business Development Director of QinetiQ Ltd, added: “QinetiQ’s ethos is one of innovation and so we welcomed the opportunity to work with organisations across Worcestershire to launch and host Worcestershire Innovation Wednesdays.

“It is clear from previous sessions that there is a real hunger for innovation and a need to come together and discuss with peers how best to develop ideas and I would encourage interested parties to register at the earliest opportunity for the sessions.”

Places are limited and must be booked in advance.
