Bosch and Vax plans for expansion

We were delighted to read the recent good news from two major Worcestershire employers.

Both Worcester Bosch and Vax have made announcements that they will be expanding their operations. Worcester Bosch is building a 115,000 sq ft distribution warehouse at Apex Park in Worcester – and if you pass that way you can already see signs of progress.

Meanwhile, floorcare firm Vax has received planning consent for a new storage and distribution warehouse on Stonebridge Cross Business Park in Droitwich.  Again, work has already started on site and is scheduled for completion in the summer.

Developments such as these send a powerful message about the confidence local businesses have in Worcestershire and their long term commitment to our region.  This is great news for the Local Enterprise Partnership as a central plank of our strategy for growth is based on attracting additional investment to Worcestershire.

We are in the process of finalising our plans for attracting inward investment to the county.  A variety of marketing tools will be developed and a dedicated team appointed.

But as all business men and women will know, there’s nothing like a word of mouth recommendation.  Worcester Bosch’s and Vax’s endorsement of the county, demonstrated by the expansion of their respective facilities, is such a recommendation to the rest of the country – and further afield – that Worcestershire is indeed a great place in which to invest and do business.
