Registrations Open for Business Energy Efficiency Conference

Local companies are being invited to the Business Energy Efficiency Programme (BEEP) conference.

The free event will help businesses from Worcestershire, Telford, Herefordshire and Shropshire to hear from expert speakers, see some of the latest innovations and energy-efficient projects in action, and learn about grants to help reduce carbon footprint and make instant financial savings.

The Conference will take place from 9am until 2:15pm on Thursday 1 March 2018, at Park House Hotel, Shifnal, Telford, TF11 9BA. The event includes lunch and an opportunity to network with fellow businesses and meet leading energy efficiency professionals.

Speakers from BMW and a regional business will be sharing their own experiences of introducing new energy efficient technologies, battery storage for renewable technologies and electric vehicles.  Representatives of the BEEP programme will set out how it has successfully helped local businesses to identify and deliver energy efficiency improvements.

Attendees will be able to hear from local companies how a BEEP grant of up to £20,000 can help businesses to make improvements to their carbon footprint and bottom line through lighting, heating, equipment, processes and much more. Delegates can also share experiences and ask questions during the round table discussions on energy efficiency topics of your choice.

Worcestershire County Council along with its partners Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, Shropshire Chamber of Commerce, Herefordshire Council, Telford & Wrekin Council and the Worcestershire Districts Councils were awarded £1.45million funding from the Department for Communities and Local Government’s European Regional Development Fund to help small and medium-sized businesses

The Business Energy Efficiency Programme is part-financed by the England European Regional Development Fund Programme as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020.The project is receiving £1,450,502 of funding from the England European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020. The Department for Communities and Local Government is the Managing Authority for European Regional Development Fund.
