Business Events available for March 2017’s Budget Statement

On Wednesday 8 March, Chancellor Philip Hammond will deliver his March 2017 Budget and local events are available to examine the announcement’s impact for businesses.

CB Chartered Accountants and Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, and Bishop Fleming are both holding their own Budget briefing event to help businesses to understand the finer details.

Worcestershire LEP is encouraging all local businesses interested in learning more about next month’s Budget to register their attendance at either of the events below.

Bishop Fleming ‘Dad’s Army’ Budget Breakfast 2017

As the prospect of leaving the European Union draws nearer, and the battle lines are drawn over trade, finance and tax, on the home front our Chancellor readies his troops and bolsters his fiscal armoury for a new independent kingdom.

Bishop Fleming’s very own Home Guard will be manning their stations to bring you a full analysis of the Chancellor’s announcements.

The event will take place at the Graeme Hick Pavilion, WCCC, New Road, Worcester WR2 4QQ- 7.45-9.30am. Breakfast is included and parking is available on site.

CB, Chartered Accountants and HW Chamber of Commerce Budget Breakfast

CB, Chartered Accountants and Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their annual Budget Breakfast on Thursday 9 March 2017 at Browns @ The Quay, Worcester from 7.30am.

On 8 March Chancellor Philip Hammond will deliver the final Spring Budget.

With the triggering of Article 50 and the beginning of negotiations imminent, the UK looks to a new chapter outside the EU.

The government must now focus on boosting the UK’s lagging productivity and proving to the world that the UK is open for business. This will need to be achieved in the context of the government’s commitment to developing an economy that works for everyone.
