Employers from across Worcestershire gathered at The Bank House Hotel for the Worcestershire Works Well bi-annual event.
The event took place on 20 November, and was attended by businesses who are signed up to the Worcestershire Works Well scheme. The focus was on celebrating the businesses who have reached accreditation and featured guest talks on the theme of ‘Adding years to our life by adding Life to our Years!’
Worcestershire Works Well featured several speakers for the event, including; Professor Peter Gore of Lifecurve, Dr Nayyara Tabassum of Ageing Better, Carole Cumino of Worcestershire Association of Carers, Jack Hunt of Sandfields farm, Sarah Joynes of Yamazaki Mazak, Tom Howard of Sports Partnership H&W, Claire Slater of Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, Suzanne Fitzmaurice of Southco Manufacturing and Cassie Bray of Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce.
As well as celebrating accreditations, the event also presented the Outstanding Achievement Award, sponsored by Southco Manufacturing UK. The award recognises a business which has implemented a scheme which goes above and beyond what is required.
ISO Quality Services won the Outstanding Achievement Award for their innovative approach to mental health in the workplace, including delivering Mental Health First Aid courses for the management team and offering mental health workshops and regular one-to-one appointments with a mental health nurse, for all staff to access within the workplace.
