QinetiQ is inviting local businesses to attend its seminar dedicated to Smart Sensors.
The event will take place from 9am-5pm at QinetiQ on Tuesday 21 June at Great Malvern, in a collaborative way to engage industry, academia and government in building a case for a National Smart Sensors Catapult for the UK. QinetiQ’s vision is to locate the main hub in Malvern with links to other parts of the country to give it a truly UK-wide reach.
Speakers from all areas of business and research will announce their vision for a future catapult and what it might offer to businesses both locally and nationally. The proactive event is set to add to the strong case for delivering this UK Smart Sensors facility in next 12 months.
The sensors market, which is estimated at £50Bn globally, is a significant component of Worcestershire’s economy and the Smart Sensor Catapult centre is being developed locally in partnership with a number of organisations including Innovate UK, Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, Worcestershire County Council, local industry, Universities and QinetiQ.
