HW Chamber Expo continues to draw in business interest

Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce’s Spring Business Expo is taking place today (7 March), in association with Hewett Recruitment.

Taking place at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern, the Expo is the two counties’ biggest business exhibition.

Businesses will be in attendance from across Herefordshire & Worcestershire, with the fantastic opportunity to network and gain key business contacts, raise profile within the community and increase awareness of the products and services on offer.

The popular Networking Breakfast, sponsored by Worcestershire Business Central, will welcome keynote speaker Professor Elena Rodriguez-Falcon, CEO of NMiTE, to deliver an engaging presentation on “Challenging conventional engineering education and its impact on business”.

Guests will also be welcomed by Sharon Smith, CEO at the Chamber, before hearing from overall sponsor Hewett Recruitment, which will signal the opening of the event.

The popular Food and Drink Producers’ Zone, sponsored by mfg Solicitors, will be returning as a main feature of the event, welcoming companies from Herefordshire, Worcestershire and beyond to provide free samples of their produce for attendees to enjoy throughout the day.

HW Chamber is hosting a free morning seminar “Beyond Brexit – A World of New Opportunities”. During the free seminar, guests will hear from Jon Walden, Principal Consultant in Customers and Trade Facilitation at Strong and Herd LLP, who has over 30 years experience in international trade.

The session will also welcome Ben Mannion, Director at Hewett Recruitment, who will cover what Brexit means to employers and EU Nationals currently living and working in the UK right now. This will include information regarding the Settled Status scheme that the government will be implementing and best practice for employers as they navigate an ever-changing jobs market against a Brexit backdrop.
