Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Hewett Recruitment, has launched the Salary & Benefits Survey 2018, which is the largest salary benchmarking survey in the two counties.
Businesses from across the region are encouraged to get involved in the anonymous and confidential study. By doing so, companies will receive an exclusive copy of the report, which will give a minimum, maximum and average salary for a variety of roles, as well as breakdowns on certain sectors and geographical areas. The report, due to be published in the autumn, will provide businesses with invaluable insight, supporting them in their attempts to secure the best candidates and retain skilled staff.
The findings of the survey are very important, as over 50% of businesses who attempted to recruit in the first half of this year have struggled to find or hire the right staff. Whilst competitive pay is a key factor, additional benefits and flexible working opportunities are also some of the best ways to attract and retain skilled employees. The report will be useful for businesses looking to assess their own performance and to see other tactics they can implement to help their business grow.
