Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce was thrilled to welcome over 650 business professionals to the University of Worcester Arena to celebrate the Chamber Business Awards 2019, sponsored by FOLK2FOLK.
Attendees enjoyed a bubbly welcome drink on arrival, before flocking to DRPG’s popular drinks bar, sponsored by Yamazaki Mazak, and networking with other finalists.
Sharon Smith, Chief Executive of the Chamber, welcomed guests to the black tie event on Thursday 4 July, before comedian and compère Celia Delaney took to the stage to host the evening for the first time.
Celia entertained the crowd with her humour, and led the way in congratulating the 2019 winners.

Several finalists were also recognised this year with the Highly Commended Award, these businesses included; OLPRO (E-Commerce Business of the Year and Excellence in Customer Service), Yamazaki Mazak UK Ltd (Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace), Level Peaks Associates (Excellence in Innovation and Small Business of the Year), Heller Machine Tools (Manufacturer of the Year) and Focus Ecology (Excellence in Professional Services).
Business of the Year, sponsored by FOLK2FOLK, was awarded to Level Peaks Associates – celebrating the ‘winner of winners’ for the 2019 awards and signalling the end of the ceremony.
Speaking of the awards, Sharon Smith commented: “I’d like to congratulate all finalists and winners at this year’s prestigious awards. The Chamber Business Awards truly highlight the fantastic array of businesses in the two counties, allowing us to celebrate the incredible success stories and create new connections with other business professionals that will last for many years to come.”
As part of the evening celebrations, guests also took part in a selfie competition, in association with EBC Group, for a chance to win a luxury gin hamper for their table. Attendees also helped to raise funds for this year’s charity, The Prince’s Trust, by getting involved with the evening’s raffle to win a variety of prizes kindly donated by local businesses.
The Prince’s Trust is thrilled to reveal that Thursday night’s kind donations raised a grand total of £2,100.
