The Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce’s recent Economic Conference, held at Mazak Worcester and sponsored by Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, featured the launch of the Chamber Business Manifesto for 2022/2023.
The manifesto outlines the activities that the Chamber will undertake to represent the interests and address the challenges faced by our Membership and the local business community.
The event welcomed over 60 business professionals, including keynote speakers from Herefordshire County Council, Hewett Recruitment, the British Chambers of Commerce and more, who discussed sector-specific business concerns and ways of overcoming these obstacles.
As Covid restrictions come to an end, new challenges emerge for businesses to tackle. As a Chamber we continue to listen, and then reach out to partners such as the British Chambers of Commerce to seek solutions and lobby government.
Resulting from 12 months of research through our Quarterly Economic Survey, as well as hundreds of consultations and conversations with our Membership, we have identified six key areas of business concern that the Chamber will be working to address. These include Business Growth, Business Costs, People, International Trade, Technology and Sustainability.
The report details the priorities for local and national government and how we aim to represent businesses at these levels.
