Congratulations to Worcestershire businesses celebrating awards

A number of local businesses were recognised at several high-profile business awards during June.

Bromsgrove District Housing Trust won the ‘Employer of the Year’ award at the BusinessDesk’s 2016 awards for the West Midlands. Malvern-based ESP was also shortlisted for the ‘Fast Growth business of the year’ award.

Heather and John Penn from Redditch-based SSE Audio Group, won the Entrepreneur of the Year 2016 Midlands Award for Business Services and Products and will now progress through to the national finals.

Rotec Engineering has been announced on the shortlist of ‘Best Place to work’ at the Cotswold Life’s Engineering Manufacturing Innovation awards which celebrates the thriving Cotswolds engineering and manufacturing sector and the successful individuals working within it across Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and North Wiltshire. The overall winners will be revealed at a black tie evening awards ceremony at Cheltenham Racecourse on Thursday, 22 September 2016.

Good luck to SSE Audio Group and Rotec Engineering for the next stages in your awards and congratulations to all award winners in the last few weeks.

The Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership (WLEP) would always encourage local businesses to enter awards and receive recognition for their successes through publicity. There are a number of business awards currently open for applications, including Midlands Family Business Awards and the Visit Worcestershire Awards for Excellence and do let the media know of your accolades, as well as WLEP, so that these can appear in the press as well as via this newsletter and social media.
