Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce is delighted to invite local firms to its Autumn Business Expo on Thursday 11 October, in association with Hewett Recruitment.
Taking place at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern, from 9.30am-2.30pm, the Business Expo is a fantastic opportunity to raise your business profile and make new local connections.
Upon entering the Expo, visitors will be welcomed into the Food and Drink Producers Zone – where guests can meet and greet local food and drink companies and sample the treats on offer.
Free tea and coffee, kindly supplied by Watercooler World, will be available throughout the day next to our dedicated Networking Zone in the centre of the exhibition. The Zone provides the perfect opportunity for both guests and exhibitors to get together and do business in a relaxed environment.
The popular Networking Breakfast, sponsored by Worcestershire Business Central, will welcome Mark Stansfeld, Chairman of giffgaff and Chairman of Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership (WLEP). Discussing his experience in business and his previous roles including Commercial Director at O2, Mark will cover a wide variety of topics and discuss how firms can take advantage of these advancements.
From his role as Chairman of Worcestershire LEP, Mark will share what is happening strategically that will impact local businesses, including; infrastructure, skills support, Brexit and the brand new 5G test bed that is coming to the county shortly.
To complement the return of the Food and Drink Producers Zone, the Chamber is excited to welcome Dr John Collins, Commercial Director at SynbiCITE, to deliver the morning’s first presentation. John will address attendees on the future of innovation and the strategy to a sustainable food production, and how guests can educate and collaborate.
Later in the morning, the Chamber is delighted to reveal that the second seminar will be led by Mo Bro’s, as featured on the BBC’s Dragon’s Den.
Mo Bro‘s began in-house making its own formulations of beard oils, balms, butters and waxes with natural ingredients. Three years later the business turns over £1.3m, selling in 78 counties and has amassed over 300,000 online customers.
During the presentation, the three brothers will share their story and speak about how the combination of technology and a maturing ecommerce market has taken the business from being a hot prospect, to commercially viable. With places for the seminars selling out fast, if you are interested in attending please contact the events team at the chamber here.
Speaking at the event last year, Dale Parmenter, CEO at drp Group, said: “It’s great to see such vibrant and active events like the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce’s Business Expo. “If you are a business in the region, then you need to be seen and out there. The networking and contacts have exceeded our expectations and we have a lot to follow up on – great event!”
The Chamber is looking forward to welcoming you all to the business expo on Thursday 11 October.
The Chamber would like to encourage local firms to save time on the day by pre-registering for the event by visiting the Chamber website here.
