Worcestershire LEP will invest: £4m
The flood alleviation project includes a package of several schemes designed to reduce the adverse economic impact of flooding across Worcestershire.
Worcestershire LEP will invest £4m of Growth Deal funding to tackle flooding hot-spots which significantly cause traffic congestion in times of flood.
Work on flood alleviation projects commenced with investment on the A44 near Craycombe to reduce the impact of flooding on the access to Evesham. A further scheme requiring investment of £1m focuses on New Road in Worcester and is expected to be completed during 2017/18.
