What to expect
During your work experience you can expect to see and get involved in as much as possible!
Students with OGL on work experience placements shadow each of our 3 divisions; IT Solutions, Software and CyberGuard.
Within our IT Solutions Technical division based in Kidderminster, you will work on our Service Desk, in our Workshop, with our IT Consultants and may visit customers at their premises with one of our Field Engineers.
Your time with our Software division in Stourport will involve time within our WebServices and Software Development departments, experiencing the coding and programming side of the business, as well as shadowing the Software Support Desks who manage incoming calls from customers relating to our bespoke software and also arrange Installations Engineer visits.
With CyberGuard, also located in the Kidderminster offices, you will sit alongside our Security Analysts, learning and understanding the phishing and cyber security alerts which are monitored and resolved by CyberGuard on behalf of our customers.
We also offer placements in our Central Services division, where students can experience what it’s like working in departments such as Finance, Purchasing, Marketing and HR.

- The nearest railway station is Hartlebury (2.3 miles)
Both of sites have ample free on-site parking.

Both sites have on-site rest areas with free hot drinks however, being located in the heart of Worcestershire we also have quick and easy access to beautiful countryside and also those all-important places to grab a coffee and a bite to eat. Stourport and Kidderminster town centres are a short drive or walk away, and we’re within walking distance of Starbucks, KFC, Greggs, Aldi and a 24/7 gym.
