A partnership of public and private businesses and organisations in Worcestershire have come together to promote the county regionally, nationally and internationally.
This new way of profiling the county, named “Worcestershire”, has been designed to give an identity to businesses inside the county and attract investment from outside the county. “Worcestershire” has been made to appeal to people of all ages and showcase the county as an exceptional place to live, work, visit and invest.
The new approach to raising the profile of Worcestershire was launched at the 2018 Worcestershire LEP Conference by a partnership of private sector companies and public sector organisations from across the county. This group share the ambition to raise the profile of Worcestershire and to encourage more business investment into the county.
“Worcestershire” has drawn upon the advice of leading businesses and institutions and will be managed by a partnership of Worcestershire LEP, Worcestershire County Council, drp group, Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce and all six district councils.
Within the profile is the Worcestershire 1000. This is a network of companies, organisations and individuals working together as champions to showcase the county locally, nationally and internationally, including organisations such as Worcester Bosch, Gtech, Morgan Motors, Worcester Warriors, University of Worcester, West Midland Safari Park and Heller Machine Tools. Events will be held across Worcestershire to help get businesses and organisations involved with promoting the county as part of the 1000 members.
