The Wyche Innovation Centre, operated by Key IQ Ltd, are pleased to announce that two companies that started-up within their facility have both outgrown their space and moved on to larger premises.
D-RisQ Ltd, a high technology software development company that provides advanced tools to prove software controlled systems will function as specified, started out at the Wyche Innovation Centre in May 2012.
Since then, the company has recruited software development engineers and a software development apprentice, won numerous R&D contracts, and taken part in a UK robotics mission to California. D-RisQ has just moved into a larger unit at the Malvern Hills Science Park, and people interested to know more about their business can see them present and exhibit at the cyber security symposium at the upcoming Malvern Festival of Innovation.
Nick Tudor, co-founder and Business Development Director at D-RisQ commented: “The Wyche Innovation Centre was a fantastic place for us to start our business because the costs were clear and made financial risks very plain. It enabled us to bring our team together in an environment with excellent facilities such as the café, boardroom and free Wi-Fi in a location that stunned our visitors.”
Oracle Environmental Experts Ltd (OEE) was founded by two environmental consultants Dr Jon Burton and Dr Diane Green in August 2014. They began working at hot desks within the Wyche Innovation Centre, and expanded their team within the facility, moving into an office and making use of on-site storage facilities for their equipment.
The company provides environmental technical advice and support, particularly with respect to the assessment of risks to human health and the water environment. They have a growing range of services to deal with historic land contamination and recent pollution incidents; working on projects around the country.
Dr John Burton, Managing Director at OEE explains “We are pleased to be experiencing solid growth and recruiting more staff to meet increasing customer demand. The Wyche Innovation Centre was a perfect place for us to set up the company and we have seen such rapid growth over the last year that we have decided to move on to a larger office and unit at the Cygnet Business Centre in Hanley Swan.”
Dr Adrian Burden, Technical Director at Key IQ Ltd and co-founder of the Wyche Innovation Centre said “We are really pleased that our vision to help businesses start and grow is playing out. We’ve enjoyed hosting both companies during their initial phases and wish them all the very best as they continue to scale-up”.
Simon Smith, Head of Economic Development at the Malvern Hills District Council added “It is good news that both companies are continuing their growth within the District and we stand by to assist with their journey, be that with facilitating further expansion, helping them access markets, or sourcing skilled staff.”
