Local companies are being made aware of two Superfast Worcestershire broadband voucher schemes to help them get their business connected.
The recently announced ERDF WEBB voucher scheme could help some businesses get connected. These vouchers will be allocated to eligible businesses that aren’t in the initial Superfast Worcestershire roll-out plans and want to upgrade their business connection to at least superfast speeds.
Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) has recently extended the Gigabit voucher scheme to cover Worcestershire premises. The Gigabit Voucher Scheme can be used by small businesses and the local communities surrounding them to contribute to the installation cost of a gigabit capable connection. Businesses can claim up to £3,000 against the cost of connection either individually or as part of a group project. Residents can also benefit from the scheme as part of a group project which also includes businesses, and can claim a voucher of up to £500.
