Event to provide training for applying to European Regional Development Funding

Organisations that wish to bid for the funding can attend a training event on 2 October to learn more about the European Regional Development Funding that is currently available.

This event is aimed at organisations, businesses, local authority officers and elected members who wish to:

  • Innovate
  • Network and collaborate
  • Deliver innovation support
  • Learn from leading local entrepreneurs and successful bidders

The morning session will include an address from our keynote speaker; James O’Donnell Managing Director of Smart Actuator (recent winner of the Queens award for Innovation in Enterprise), who will share his experience of developing his business and securing innovation funding.

Ian Edwards, Deputy Chief Executive of the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership will outline the LEP’s vision for Innovation and the funding opportunity available.

Training session (1.30pm – 3.00pm):  For those who wish to stay on after the lunch and are interested in bidding into the Research and Innovation Funding opportunity.  Training has been arranged where funding officers will be on hand to answer questions and provide practical advice and assistance to potential bidders.

The presentations will be followed by case studies and a panel Q&A discussion.
