Excitement growing ahead of this week’s Worcestershire LEP Annual Conference 2018

Over 520 delegates have registered their attendance for Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership’s Eighth Annual Conference, taking place this Friday (30 November) and a limited number of spaces remain available.

The Conference, which has grown its reputation as one of Worcestershire’s biggest business events, will begin its main proceedings at 8:30am on Friday 30 November at the Chateau Impney in Droitwich.

The event is set to directly address some of the issues that businesses have experienced in the past and how Worcestershire LEP is helping to address these challenges. The event will also focus on how innovative developments led by the LEP are helping to boost productivity, tackle the skills shortage and strengthen connectivity.

This year’s Conference will be hosted by Author, BBC Reporter and Radio Expert, Kate Russell, who has been voted in the ‘Top 50 most influential women in UK IT’ for the past 2 years by Computer Weekly Magazine. Kate will be joined by Digital Transformation Strategist, Tiffany St James, the keynote speaker for this year’s Worcestershire LEP Annual Conference.

Business leaders will also have the opportunity to attend the business breakfast, sponsored by Bishop Fleming, which will be taking a look at the county’s recent investment successes, commercial space opportunities and available support, from 7:30-8:30am on the morning of the Conference. The breakfast will feature high profile business speakers including Phil Hatherley, General Manager of Material Solutions – A Siemens Business and Wayne Walker, VP Manufacturing Global Faucets UK for Kohler Mira Ltd.

Gary Woodman, Chief Executive of Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, said: “We look forward to hosting another highly-attended business event that will showcase how Worcestershire LEP is working to address some of the largest business challenges. I am delighted to see the great amount of interest we have had from the region’s business community and, with a limited number of spaces available, I would urge all interested companies to register their place before it’s too late.”

A vibrant exhibition area will also host a range of companies and organisations showcasing their products and services. Sponsors of the event include: Bishop Fleming, Business & Innovation Magazine, EBC Group, GJS Dillon, Heart of Worcestershire College, Hewett Recruitment and Thursfields Solicitors.
