Workers aged over fifty and employed within Worcestershire are being given the chance to upskill or improve their expertise in their business through a new training scheme, Train 4 Success.
Train 4 Success (T4S) – part of WCG (Warwickshire College Group), offers free skills training for the over 50s working in the county. The project aims to address the untapped potential in older workers to aid their professional development and benefit employers. Companies must have a max of 250 employees with a max £50m turnover.
There are a variety of courses and training available including; Microsoft Word, Excel, First-Aid, Introduction to Line Management and Risk Assessment.
Adrian Barradell, Marketing Officer for T4S said, “Retaining and progressing older workers is vital to making the most of the UK’s ageing population. Workers aged over 50 already represent one in five of the UK workforce and soon this proportion will rise to one in four, as people continue to live and work longer.”
These courses are run at various WCG college locations within the county. On the WCG website is a full list of all the available courses.
