A Three Counties based training provider is inviting people in the region to achieve a Level 2 or Level 3 IT City and Guilds Diploma with support to help them start or further their careers in the Tech and Digital Industry.
Delivered remotely by The Development Manager (TDM) based in Worcester, learners will study towards achieving a City & Guilds Diploma for ICT Systems and Principles for IT Professionals.
Core modules will help learners develop a grounding in Tech and Digital Fundamentals, vital business concepts and problem solving skills which are then followed by a choice of specialist pathway in either Tech and Networking, Digital Support / Marketing, Data, Cyber Security, UX / UI Design and Coding (Java and .NET).
Anyone undertaking the Programme will receive the support of a Professional Development Coach, to support them into a new Tech and Digital role, Career Builders who will develop employability skills and expert Skills and Knowledge Coaches who will guide each learner through the course content.
This follows a successful pre-Apprenticeship pilot that ran from April 2020 to July 2021, launched at the height of the Pandemic that similarly helped learners to reskill in their current jobs or enter the workforce in new tech and digital roles, at a time when many employees were on furlough or losing their jobs and the shift to home working meant that the demand for IT Skills in the workforce was even more acute.
TDM has secured Adult Education Budget funding from the UK Government Education Skills Funding Agency to deliver the programme, aimed at supporting young people into work and reskilling people to take on digital responsibilities, with no cost to learners.
Derrin Kent, Managing Director, The Development Manager, said:
“Do well by doing good!
TDM match ambitious people with Tech and Digital employers who need to grow and / or improve their businesses. We can help both employed reskillers and unemployed recruits to make a digital difference at work. We help employer organisations to achieve Digital Transformation. We are Government funded because the UK understands that Digital Transformation is critical for us to grow our national and regional economies.
For the individual, Career and Social Mobility can be gained by focussing hard on doing well for yourself by doing good for your employer; delivering on their own unique Digital Transformation agendas.”
