Over 17,000 companies have taken part in previous Export Week events across the country to date and local businesses are being encouraged to get involved with this year’s Exporting is GREAT Week, 18-22 April 2016.
A number of events are available to local businesses interested in learning more about exporting overseas, including the following:
Monday 18 April – Doing Business in Dubai and the Middle East (Black Country)
Hear about live opportunities, business culture, routes to market and business risk. Listen to experts from Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Dubai to find out about the business support available. 1:1 meetings are available.
Tuesday 19 April – The Digital Guide to Internationalise – Step 3. Plan (Worcester)
Develop a marketing plan, discover how to maximise social media to reach your target audience and explore international social media platforms.
Wednesday 20 April – Access India (Staffordshire)
Find out more about the scale and nature of business opportunities in India as speakers share their expertise and offer first-hand advice from choosing your business partner, protecting your IP, trade finance, staff recruitment and adapting your product for an Indian market.
Wednesday 20 April – Gateway to the US – The state of Ohio (Birmingham)
Representatives from Ohio and the city of Mentor will be presenting on the many opportunities and advantages for companies looking to enter the US market.
Wednesday 20 April – Selling food and drink into the UAE
Join this afternoon expo and seminar where you will have the chance to display your products and meet Ali S. Ali who is the Trade Manager for the food and drink sector supporting UK companies export to the UAE.
Thursday 21 April – Global Opportunities Summit (Coventry)
Take part in an afternoon of opportunity to set your business on the pathway to global growth. Specifically curated for companies who are ready to start selling overseas with an incredible panel of inspiring speakers including Emma Jones (Enterprise Nation), Fraser Doherty (SuperJam) and Will Butler-Adams (Brompton Bikes).
