Health and social care team scoops global mid-market M&A prize

The health and social care team at Harrison Clark Rickerbys is celebrating after being chosen as the best Mid-Market Healthcare M&A Team by Acquisition International magazine.

The judges, drawn from a worldwide network of partners and industry experts, took into account their own knowledge of contenders’ work and the magazine’s research as well as submissions from those involved.

The team has handled sales and acquisitions of care homes, residential homes and social care businesses as well as transactions for dental, veterinary and GP practices. Recent transactions include working with Tracscare to acquire six supported living services and a specialist brain injury support service from Embrace, and handling the sale of Stanley House specialist care home to Elysium Healthcare.

Charlotte Thornton-Smith, who leads the team, said: “We are delighted to have won this award because it really reflects what an outstanding team we have here – it rewards not just one amazing deal but a steady stream of excellent achievements over a prolonged period. It recognises the depth of expertise we have in the team and the degree of flexibility and speed of turnaround that we have achieved.”
