Grant funding available to small businesses that save on energy

Severn Wye Energy Agency has been helping businesses to save energy and money for 18 years and they are now offering grant funding too.

The Worcestershire Target 2020 programme run by Severn Wye Energy Agency,  features free energy advice for any eligible small and medium sized businesses in Worcestershire, as well as grants worth between £500 and £5000 towards the cost of energy saving measures.

The funding and support was made available through the European Regional Development Fund. It’s available to 200 businesses across Worcestershire, of which 60 have already enquired and made some headway to reducing their energy use, saving money on their bills and limiting their carbon footprint.

Businesses have often asked about effective low cost energy saving solutions and one of their favourites is the heating ‘Tadpole’ de-aerator which works by removing the air and dissolved oxygen from the heating system water. It also limits the corrosion of the system, improving the efficiency and longevity. Through these improvements savings of up to 20% can be made on heating  bills

This is just one of the measures that the expert energy advisors at Severn Wye are able to recommend, and they have grants available based on the carbon savings made from any measures fitted.

Target 2020 grant funding has a double benefit for businesses in Worcestershire as the applicant organisation gets lower energy bills whilst the local installation companies benefit from the work paid for by the grant.
