Holistic approach to cyber security at InfoSec 2017

From 6-8 June 2017, Worcester-based Sutcliffe & Co, independent insurance brokers, will be at Infosecurity Europe (InfoSec) to help attendees gain a better understanding of what cyber insurance is and why it is important for business.

InfoSec 2017 is Europe’s largest information security event, held in London’s Olympia, with tens of thousands visitors expected. The event’s aim is to showcase the most relevant information security solutions and products.

Duncan Sutcliffe, director Sutcliffe & Co commented: “InfoSec is a great opportunity to help people better appreciate cyber security – cyber insurance is just one aspect, with schemes such as Cyber Essentials a key tool in the fight against cyber attacks.”

Sutcliffe & Co is joining forces with IASME Consortium for the three-day event. IASME is one of only five accreditation bodies for the government’s Cyber Essentials scheme, which helps organisations implement basic levels of protection against cyber attack. IASME also offers the IASME Governance Standard, which includes assessment against the incoming EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) requirements.

Sutcliffe & Co and IASME Consortium can be found at InfoSec stand S70 from 6-8 June 2017.

Duncan concluded: “With IASME Consortium advising on Cyber Essentials and GDPR regulations and our advice on cyber insurance, anyone coming to stand S70 will get an holistic approach to how they can potentially protect their business in this age of cyber attacks.”
