Business Development Manager – FTC to 31 March 2018
£50,000 p.a. + benefits

Location: Worcester
The Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership (WLEP) , is responsible for creating and delivering economic growth and jobs in the County. This is achieved through a partnership approach with business, local government, the third sector and higher and further education working together with a common, shared purpose.
Key responsibilities will include the generation of ideas and concepts which will result in deliverable projects. These include the development of a digital strategy for the County and generally ensuring the delivery of our Strategic Economic Plan (SEP), seeking endorsement of project business cases from the WLEP Board. Bid writing and development in response to national or local programmes and participation in key events representing the WLEP are also key responsibilities.
The development of a new Centre of Entrepreneurship (CoE) for a new model of business growth and entrepreneurship is a key deliverable in this role. We are looking for an individual who is able to drive and lead the development of the CoE working in partnership with all relevant stakeholders and partners.

There will be a high level of strategic partner engagement from both the private and public sector, including Worcestershire Business Central, Worcestershire Innovation Network (WINN) and the Department of International Trade as well as further and higher education and local government bodies.

You must have significant credibility within the business support and growth sector. We are looking for proven expertise in developing and implementing business support models and in programme and project management together with a thorough understanding of the barriers facing the development and growth of new and existing businesses.
