The Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce is a member-lead, not for profit organisation which works to support the local business community and our network of members.
We have a requirement for an International Trade Advisor to work within our International Trade team. You will be working with new and experienced exporters to develop new markets and, where appropriate, engaging with UKTI packages and support.
Working to defined outputs and targets under the direction of the Head of International Trade, you will be responsible for the delivery of initiatives and programs to support local businesses, including advising and mentoring companies on International Trade issues. As such you must have a commercial knowledge of the Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire areas.
You must have proven experience in the International Trade sector and have worked within an similar international trade role. You should also possess excellent customer relationship skills and experience as forging successful relationships with businesses and partnership organisations, both in the UK and overseas, is key to this role. A sales background or outward client facing experience is essential as well as a flexible approach as the role will demand regular overseas travel and the opportunity to take team leading responsibility for the local team. A proven experience in working to and achieving targets is also a requirement.
