Projects Executive
FTC until March 2016 with potential for continuation depending on contract funding

The Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership is a Central Government backed partnership of local businesses, local authorities, trade organisations and the voluntary sector across the county.
Its task is to develop the best business environment for Worcestershire, encourage inward investments, stimulate the local economy, identify appropriate projects for funding and promote Worcestershire as an exceptional place to work, live and prosper, thereby creating more and better employment opportunities. In that regard it has recently been awarded substantial funding from Government against the delivery of a programme of key projects set out in its dynamic Strategic Economic Plan.
As a result, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Projects Executive to assist with the development, assessment and delivery of the Local Enterprise Partnership’s funded projects and programmes.
Your main duties will include acting as Project Sponsor for a number of projects and programmes developed within the context of the Strategic Economic Plan and Business Plan 2015 – 2018. You will also operate and continuously improve effective Assurance Frameworks, ensuring that clear accountabilities and timely decision making processes are in place and report progress on project and programme performance through formal internal and external forums including the LEP Board. As well as these you will support the WLEP Board and Executive to fulfil its delivery ambitions in respect of the Growth Deal, European programme and all other LEP funded activity.
You will need to work closely with other team members to ensure that all Business Plan, Performance and Financial targets are achieved.
Experience / Skills
If you are able to demonstrate proven experience in project and programme development in a private/public partnership environment, with knowledge of both PRINCE 2 project and programme management techniques and of the current UK economic development and regeneration policy, then we would like to hear from you.
We also require excellent communication skills as well as, being both methodical and numerate, with a high attention to detail and good organisation skills. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Systems is also required.
