Local businesses take cyber expertise to London

Taking place in London, Infosecurity is recognised as the leading information security event for security professionals. Worcestershire carries an international reputation for effective and innovative cyber solutions and two of the county’s finest will be exhibiting at the industry showcase exhibition being held in June.

Malvern based IASME Consortium is an award-winning Accreditation Body contracted by the National Cyber Security Centre, a part of GCHQ, to deliver the Government backed Cyber Essentials certification. Over the last 12 months alone, IASME has certified more than 2700 companies, over a quarter of which have taken the additional protections provided by the IASME’s own, highly regarded, Governance standard.

As more and more contracts, especially Government, start to mandate Cyber Essentials, IASME will be on-hand to highlight how recognised cyber certifications can help organisations secure new business opportunities as well as secure their own businesses against the ever-increasing online threats.

CEO, Dr. Emma Philpott, advised, “The certifications IASME provide have always carried significant benefits to businesses. This year we can showcase another, and very significant, benefit.  Infosecurity 2018 takes place a matter of days after the enforcement of the General Data Protection Regulation.  Our team will be on hand to outline how our certifications help businesses meet the requirements of this new and important Regulation.”

Returning to InfoSec 2018, Titania is showcasing their pioneering configuration analysis tools, which companies all over the world are adding to their enterprise security solutions to deliver a level of detail and accuracy that previously only manual penetration testing achieved.

The team is looking forward to demonstrating how businesses can gain detailed knowledge of their systems defences, the monitoring capabilities that have been deployed and quickly and accurately find any exploitable vulnerabilities and non-compliance with regulations such as Cyber Essentials, PCI, GDPR, STIG, and CIS.

Independently certified as 100% accurate by standards bodies such as CIS and identified by Gartner as having unique auditing capabilities, Titania is now a key player in the future of Autonomous Mitigation and compliance validation. Throughout the show, Titania CEO & Founder, Ian Whiting, will be presenting on this subject, alongside speakers from CIS, CREST, Cyber Growth Partnership, and IASME.

“I’m looking forward to speaking to people about how they can create a security ecosystem they can rely on, one that de-risks their business and prepares the organisation for fully autonomous mitigation and self-healing systems” says Nicola Whiting Chief Strategy Officer of Titania.

There is also the opportunity for anyone one who visits Titania’s stand to contribute to a global industry survey and be in with a chance to win a trip to Tomorrowland at Disneyworld Florida (or a cash prize alternative). Other ‘Tomorrowland’ themed prizes are up for grabs for delegates able to hit the targets on Titania’s nerf-gun range – a feature on the stand again this year, back by popular demand!

Infosecurity takes place at Olympia, London, 05-07 June.  The event has over 400 exhibitors and a comprehensive conference programme.   For those attending the event, IASME will be on stand R140 and Titania on Stand B80.
