Business leaders, entrepreneurs and students are once again invited to attend the Malvern Festival of Innovation that runs from Tuesday 6th October to Sunday 11th October 2015 in Great Malvern, Worcestershire.
The series of events promotes innovation and entrepreneurship across the region, highlighting key industry sectors and providing opportunities to learn about new technologies, new business processes and network with peers.
On Wed 6th October, the symposium at the Malvern Theatres will focus on Agri-tech, highlighting robotics in agriculture, the use of drones for land management, the rise of the Internet of Things in farming, improving fuel and energy monitoring in the industry as well as looking at improved food production technologies.
Thursday 7th October sees the Business of Innovating symposium run alongside the Chamber’s Business Expo at the Three Counties Showground. This will be a chance to hear from keynotes on design innovation as well as learn more about starting, growing and financing your business. An entrepreneurs elevating pitching session will also feature in the programme.
Thursday evening sees the Formal Dinner at Malvern College; an excellent event for entertaining guests and meeting others in the innovation space. This year’s guest speaker is David Wood, Chair of the London Futurists and smart phone pioneer.
The importance of cyber security and big data is the subject of Friday 8th October at the Malvern Theatres. With an opening keynote from Phil Smith, CEO of Cisco UK&I, and talks from numerous small cyber security SMEs from around the UK and QinetiQ, this is your chance to find out more about cyber-crime and protecting your business from the threats.
There are also table-top exhibition opportunities at the Festival, and entry to the business symposia are free.
