The Malvern Festival of Innovation returns 7-12 October and will this year add two new features to its almost week long programme.
On Monday 7 October, innovators will be able to speak to camera in the world’s smallest theatre, the Theatre of Small Convenience in Great Malvern and outline their new products and services in a ten minute talk. The series of Innovation Shorts will then be shared on the Festival’s YouTube channel to help showcase the creative flair of Worcestershire’s businesses.
Later in the week, the Festival will host a Science Comedy Night at the new Malvern Radio venue due to open soon in Great Malvern. This will be an evening of high-brow amusement looking at the lighter side of science and technology.
As in previous years, there will also be the opening lecture, the Next Generation Innovators schools outreach day, the Family Show and a series of business-related symposia on the subjects of cyber security, environment & sustainability, and entrepreneurship. The programme will also include the popular formal Gala Dinner and the Creative Careers afternoon school event, both in the elegant surroundings of Malvern College.
This year’s festival is in collaboration with business mix, a London and Singapore based company bringing its international network of clients, partners and associate network to the event to share their thoughts, views and experiences on innovation, sustainability and work together. This will be an opportunity for local businesses to network with new contacts and extend their reach into new markets.
Organisations are encouraged to register to attend as soon as possible, and in particular to get in touch with the organising team if they would like to give an Innovation Short talk, showcase their technology to school students, or exhibit at the cyber security day. More details about the programme is available on their website here.
