On the 28th September 2021, the cluster will co-host an international panel of industry specialists, offering guidance advising Manufacturing firms on how to protect their assets against the growing threat of Cybercrime.

For this one off Virtual event, Midlands Cyber are pleased to host alongside international Partners, Invest NI, Cyber NI, The Cyber Association For Maryland (CAMI) and the Clusters longstanding Economic Partner, the Department of Commerce for Maryland US. With the manufacturing sector listed in 2020 as the third most targeted sector and with increases in ransomware jumping to 435%, all three partners recognise severity of cybercrime on the industry  and encourage delegates from across their three regions to take steps reducing their risk.

Around 77% of organisations do not have a cyber incident response plan. On the 28th September Manufacturing and Engineering firms are invited to submit questions to a panel of industry specialists from across the three regions; recommending practical advice for SMEs to protect their assets. The Cluster are looking forward to hosting our first public event of 2021 alongside our international partners – advising practical steps protecting the Midlands Manufacturing legacy.
