New bridge installed on Worcester’s Southern Link Road

The county’s newest bridge was moved into place over part of Worcester’s Southern Link Road (A4440) at the start of August.

More work needs to be completed before the footbridge is fully open to the public during the Autumn. Once fully complete, the bridge will be suitable for pedestrians, mobility scooters, bikes and those on horseback, and will provide a vital link between the communities of St Peters and Norton.

The works will also improve connectivity between the city centre and the new Worcestershire Parkway Station, currently under construction just off M5 Junction 7.
