Registrations Open for Malvern Festival of Innovation 2016

Business leaders, entrepreneurs and students are invited to attend the Malvern Festival of Innovation 2016 running from Monday 3 October to Saturday 8 October 2016 in Great Malvern, Worcestershire.

The series of events promotes innovation and entrepreneurship across the region, highlighting key industry sectors and providing opportunities to learn about new technologies, new business processes and network with peers.

On Monday 3 October, the new Embarkation launch event at Malvern College will include an evening with Marcus du Sautoy FRS OBE talking about ‘What We Cannot Know’; a fantastic chance to hear from a world-renowned mathematician and science communicator.  There will also be time to network and participate live in #Worcestershirehour.

For businesses interested in schools outreach and promoting STEM subjects, the Next Generation Innovators day at the Three Counties Showground is an opportunity to interact with over 800 local secondary school students. Organisations will be able to participate with hands-on demonstrations and engaging activities that will enthuse students to pursue a career in the knowledge economy.

Cyber Security and the Internet of Things is the subject of Thursday 6 October’s business session at the Malvern Theatres.  Attendees will be hearing an exclusive update about the UK’s new National Cyber Security Centre as well as showcasing the country’s leading cyber security SMEs.

Thursday evening sees the Formal Dinner at Malvern College; an excellent event for entertaining guests and meeting others in the innovation space. This year’s after dinner speaker is Anne Lise Kjaer, a leading futurist and trend analyst.

On Friday 7 October, the Business of Innovating symposium will run at the Malvern Theatres.  This popular session will include a keynote from Kevin Baughan, Chief Development Officer at Innovate UK and presentations about technology clusters, design innovation as well as helpful advice for starting and scaling your business.  An entrepreneurs elevator pitching session will also feature in the programme.

There are table-top exhibition opportunities at the Festival, plenty of opportunities to network, and entry to the business symposia is free for all to attend.
