Take part in the Running Out of Time relay

Worcestershire businesses can take part in a national event to raise awareness and inspire action on the climate crisis.

The Running Out of Time Relay sees a baton carried the entire length of the UK – from Ben Nevis to Big Ben. The baton will be making its way through Worcester on Monday, June 24, with a number of opportunities for local people to get involved.

It will be carried on a journey around the City Centre’s riverside, thanks to a partnership led by the University of Worcester.

Organisations across the City are working together on a number of projects including the introduction of an underground heat network, using water from the river Severn to provide heat and hot water for homes and businesses, along with the introduction of electric bike schemes and improved walking and cycling routes. The City is also home to one the Country’s largest electric vehicle charging car parks at the University’s Severn Campus.

Businesses interested in signing up members of their team to take part in the relay, or those looking to find out more about the relay itself, can do so via the link here.
