Local businesses are being urged to register their place at UKTI’s Export Essentials Masterclass.
The free workshop, taking place at 9am – 4:30pm on 30 August at Open Space Rooms, Malvern, has a limited number of places available to provide businesses with an opportunity to develop the basis of an export strategy.
The event has been designed to allow businesses to take a strategic view of their company and focus on business objectives for new international markets. As well as providing companies with an understanding in the fundamental principles of international trade, attendees will also benefit from sharing in the planning process with other business leaders.
Businesses will be accompanied by UKTI advisers and have the chance to raise any current issues they face.
Attendees will cover the essential elements of exporting, including:
- market research
- market selection
- product and service tailoring
- routes to market
- international communication
- intellectual property protection
- overseas selling
- effective marketing planning
- shipping and documentation
- export finance and getting paid
- international contracts
- developing a strategic international trade plan.
The workshop is tailored to companies in the early stages of selling overseas and should be attended by a key decision maker involved in determining the business’ export strategy. Refreshments and lunch are also included at this event.
