Three Worcestershire businesses have been recognised as some of the UK’s fastest growing businesses, in the Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100 league table for 2017.
Published on Thursday 30 March, the 18th annual Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100 league table ranked Britain’s private companies with the fastest-growing profits over three years, recognising the businesses’ strong contribution to the local economy.
Worcester-based Gtech ranked 11th and Lioncourt Homes ranked 16th on the prestigious list, while Kidderminster-based Brintons placed 67th.
Brintons Carpets was a new entrant to the list after strengthening its key residential markets of Britain, Australia and Poland, and winning large commercial projects such as the P&O Britannia, Britain’s biggest ship. Gtech featured on the list for the second time running and the popularity of its flagship AirRam vacuum helped profits to grow by an average of 106% a year to £9m in 2016.
The companies listed on the 2017 league table have achieved a higher average rate of profit growth (83%) than any previous Profit Track 100 league table, which have typically ranged from 50%-75% pa.
