Time Running Out for Local Businesses to Claim for Broadband Connection Voucher Scheme

Time is running out for local businesses to claim their Broadband Connection Vouchers.

The initial cut-off for the Connection Voucher Scheme was set for March 2016, however recent reports show funding – which is a limited pool – will now only last until October.

The Connection Voucher Scheme, which has recently launched, enables eligible businesses to claim grants of up to £3,000 towards the cost of upgrading to Superfast Broadband.

The scheme has £40m of funding attached to it and is managed by Central Government to help businesses who need support in connecting to new technologies while also helping those where the fibre network has not yet reached.

The Broadband Connection Voucher Scheme covers fibre wireless and satellite connections and is available to any eligible business, charity, voluntary organisation, SMEs, Sole-traders and businesses run from home.
