Video Transcript

” Welcome to the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership April Newsletter. As you can see, we are up on the roof at the Malvern Hills Science Park. It’s been a busy month here at the Local Enterprise Partnership and we are building towards the new financial year.

“In our newsletter, we have a business survey we would like you to complete by the 6 May and also the news that our LEP Chair, Mark Stansfield, has come to the end of his term and therefore the recruitment for the new LEP chair is underway, find more details on our website if you’re interested or would like a conversation with myself or any of the LEP board members, I’m sure they would be willing to answer any of your questions.

“We are continuing to see lots of vacancies on Worcestershire Jobs so if you’re looking for vacancies have a look at the online tool. Equally the Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards are open for entries, have a look on our website.

“In BetaDen news, cohort five are in the office far more than previous cohorts and we are having a networking event on the 28 April, at the Malvern Hills Science Park at 4.30 pm. So, if you want to come along and meet the cohorts, meet some tenants on the science park, feel free to come along, it’s a free event and would be great to have you come along to come along to network and have a conversation about all thing’s technology in the Worcestershire economy.

“Finally last month we saw the Worcestershire tourism awards, they were very successful, congratulations to all the winners and now we see the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards finalists announced. Plenty of companies in Worcestershire all with a chance of winning and we look forward to that event in July.

That’s all for April, thanks very much and keep working through the business conditions that are challenging at these times but equally, we are hearing some good success stories about the way businesses are working through those. See you in May!”
