Hello, and welcome to the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership April 2026 newsletter. Loads of things been going on with the team. Lots happening. But also, obviously, the Easter break. Hope you enjoyed the break. And, people got away and obviously things have come back and we’re doing plenty.
We have during that period we had the Catalyse Angel Network, second session, really successful. Great pitches by, business founders who’ve got business ideas and, angels in the room were very taken, to the point where they invested in some of these ideas. So, a really successful pitching event that we look to continue.
In terms of skills, we’ve opened the apprenticeship awards, for nominations. So, I’d encourage you to get your nominations in. And also then, working with our health colleagues, we’ve got a musculoskeletal, workshop, that will help employers work with their staff to kind of improve, health conditions of their workforce. That’s on the 12th of May. So one to look out for there.
And finally. On the 13th of May, we’re doing a session to inform employers about the changes to work experience. And we need to get more employers involved in work experience. So please do book up for the event. Have a look on the website. And we need your help to kind of increase the level of work experience for our young people across the county, I said, and finally, but also news just in, the tourism awards happened in March, and, some of our winners have gone on to be recognised nationally.
So congratulations to Morgan Experiences, Attwell Farm Park, Bredon Glamping, Bredon Hill glamping experience, Rowley Farm Holidays, and Mick Hurst from the Battle of Evesham. Good luck in the final. Fingers crossed. But really representing Worcestershire there on a national level.
