Video Update from Worcestershire LEP Chief Executive, Gary Woodman: December 2023

Video Transcript

Welcome and a Merry Christmas from the whole of the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership Team as we head into December and our fun packed newsletter for 2023.

I am sure you’ll recognize it’s been a challenging but thoroughly rewarding year. And certainly as we look back, we delivered loads of things really benefiting the local economy, whether it’s skills, business, support, innovation or finishing off some of those projects that I saw in Bromsgrove under the Getting Building fund as we get to see some of those projects finish off.

As we look at this newsletter, there are a number of things that have gone on. Recently we had another one of our inclusive growth conferences as part of a series. The next one is in January, but we had 45 attendees. Again, if you want to find out more about how you can be more inclusive as an employer in your practices, I encourage you to go to the website and sign up.

A new development on the Growth Hub website is also our events calendar. This puts together all the business events going in all across the county and you can register your event with the team. Just go to the website and have a look at that and it will give you an opportunity to have a look at everything that’s going on that’s business across Worcestershire.

And finally, the date for the LEP conference is defined as the 23rd of February next year, so hold that date in your calendar if you then, further details will come out in the new year and you’ll be able to book on and partake in the LEP conference in 2024.

Finally, the office is closed from the 22nd of December to the 2nd of Jan.

I hope you have a great festive break, a happy New Year and I look forward to everything that’s going to happen in 2024.
