Hello, and welcome to the, February Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership newsletter. It’s been a busy time and is continuing to be a busy time, here at the Local Enterprise Partnership with all our partners.
There’s plenty going on. Obviously, when you’re looking back, we’ve just finished TechFest, and why I’m here In the BetaDen office is around, the BetaDen Showcase which culminated two weeks of events where we had over 600 registrations across a range of, technology workshops. It’s great to see so many people participating, and certainly has given us plenty of challenges thinking about 2026 and how we roll that forward. Also, we have launched a new innovation community, and if you want to sign up, use the QR code in the newsletter.
Other stuff we’ve been up to is, last week was National Apprenticeship Week. Great to see so many events and publicity put on. We also had the MP in Redditch going to the youth hub. So fantastic times. We’ve also launched the applications for Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards 2025. Have a look online. So if you’re an employer, an apprentice, training provider, we want to see as many applications as we can get for those awards.
Also now, the Skills Show, is going to be hosted at SixWays on the 5th and 6th of March. We have, lots of young people coming through the doors meeting employers about careers here in Worcestershire. But if you’re a parent, have a look at the website. You can also, there was a time session for you guys to attend, with your young person, where you can, have a look round and kind of have a discussion with employers about what, what they need in terms of furthering their career, in any specific career that you can do here, Worcestershire, and you can nearly do anything.
And finally, the LEP team we’re hosting our BIG Conversation 2, on the 13th of March at the University of Worcester. It will be great to see you there. Have a look in the newsletter for booking on details. And and really that two way conversation between the team and, business in terms of the economy and challenges that we pose in this coming, 12 months.
