Hello, and welcome to the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership newsletter for February 2026. Plenty going on in February. Lots going on in terms of networking around Tech Fest, which we’re coming towards the end of. It’s been a fantastic, event so far with lots of workshops going across the two weeks.
Loads of attendees, plenty of buzz and lots of information in pass. So it’s been really valuable. And a great event. Congratulations to the team. If you want to see more, go to the Growth Hub website and have a look. Equally, you’ll find TechFest online.
We’ve also seen, our annual property report with GJS Dillon who bring together all the commercial agents to write a report on the property market in Worcestershire around retail and industrial. A great event. Plenty of questions. And recognising the challenges in the market, but also the opportunities that are here in Worcestershire. There is a report that’s available that you can download from the GJS website.
You just need to put your details in and they’ll send you an electronic copy of the report. Also, looking a bit backwards, we had, National Apprenticeship Week. Great to see the promotion that’s going on. And obviously apprenticeships are a really big part of what we do in Worcestershire about workforce planning. And obviously the week was really busy.
That leads to a kind of build up, which in, a couple of weeks time will be the Skills Show, at Sixways, where we have over 4500 young people visiting stands from a range of businesses and a range of sectors in Worcestershire on display for them to kind of try out, have a look at, find out more about, equally understand what qualifications they need to pursue a perhaps their career choice or equally, if they’re not sure what they want to do. Perhaps to inspire them to what they could do and what’s here available in the county. There is, an evening session for parents and young people. So, if you want to if you, find that you want to get that information, then, have a look online, at the county council website, and you’ll find more information on the skills show and how you can attend.
Looking forward into March. There’s plenty going on again. The chamber are doing an economic conference on the 6th of March. And also we’ve got the prestigious tourism awards,
