Worcestershire business people and others interested are invited to book for the WLEP Annual Conference, taking place at the Chateau Impney, Droitwich Spa on the morning of Friday 10 October.
Bookings are now open – please register here.
Entitled ‘World Class Worcestershire’, the proceedings will be chaired by BBC Midlands Today’s main presenter, Mary Rhodes.
The objective of the conference will be to profile the county as an ideal Inward Investment destination. There will be presentations from expert speakers, a contribution by Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Sajid Javid, MP for Bromsgrove, and two special ‘on the couch’ interview sessions with Mary Rhodes and guests. Worcestershire LEP will also provide an update on its programme to raise the profile of the county amongst international audiences.
There will be opportunity for audience participation via digital voting handsets and a live Twitter feed (#WorldClassWorcs). This year’s event also features an exhibition and increased networking opportunities for delegates.
Peter Pawsey, Executive Chair at Worcestershire LEP, says: “Worcestershire LEP passionately believes that the county is a fantastic choice for companies looking to invest or relocate. This year’s conference is all about the Worcestershire ‘proposition’ – what we can offer and why businesses should invest and grow here as opposed to other regions of the UK. We believe we have a unique blend of practical and logistical benefits and a fantastic lifestyle that sets us apart from other regions. The conference will seek to explore and promote these benefits as well as encouraging businesses to seek out new international markets for their own goods and services.”
