Worcester City Council are encouraging local businesses to apply for an apprenticeship grant.
Priority will be given to businesses operating in Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering; Cyber Security/IT/Defence; Visitor and Destination Economy; and Construction. Other knowledge based sectors such as advertising and marketing, consultancy and legal and financial services will be considered.
Eligible businesses must provide an approved apprenticeship and not had an Apprentice within the previous 12 months. The Apprentice must be aged 16 – 24, reside in the Worcester City postcode area and not previously employed by the business.
Worcester City Council is running the scheme in conjunction with Worcestershire Apprenticeships. Businesses can apply for the grant once the Apprentice has completed 13 weeks on the programme.
