The Worcestershire 5G consortium are proud to launch their new Skills Report – ‘Gearing up our people to drive the power of 5G’.
The 5G consortium has timed the launch of this new report on the eve of the birthdate of Guglielmo Marconi (April 25, 1874), credited as the inventor of radio communications and the founder of The Wireless Telegraph & Signal Company; and three days before the birthdate of Samuel Morse (April 27, 1791) the co-developer of the Morse code and key contributor to the use of telegraphy.
The new report highlights the need for development of digital skills to help support the rollout of 5G technologies across organisations in the coming years. It is hoped that the findings and recommendations within the report support the current and next generation to harness the power of 5G, perhaps inspiring a new icon to herald alongside the likes of Marconi and Morse.’
You can read the report on the Worcestershire LEP website here.
The Worcestershire 5G consortium would like to thank the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and all of the report’s contributors in assisting to deliver and now release this report.
